The "Nashik Run" was initiated by the select set of corporate houses to help the needy and underprivileged and to promote the awareness of health and fitness in and around the city of Nashik. There are various social service organizations engaged in a myriad of activities pertaining to the under privileged in and around Nashik. Their activities include shelter for the old and destitute, shelter for women, education and training for the mentally challenged, training for the blind, care for orphans, skill center for the less able etc

The SIOM team of 64 volunteers, headed by Vidyarth Venkateswaran and Richa Sharma of the 09-11 batch, formed an integral part of the Operations team of Nasik Run 2010, that was guided by Col. P.K.Roy of Bosch. Their unrelenting support and dedication to the cause won laurels from the organizers. The enthralling experiences shared by many of them, bear testament to the impact that the event has had on them.

The event in itself was a huge success and drew praise from all those involved for the finesse and the expertise shown in the planning and execution of Operations of an event of this magnitude. Nasik Run ’10 was an event that kindled a warm flame in all of our hearts and will burn there for a long time to come.
